The Systems Firmware team is looking for a Test Engineer to lead the QA efforts for all Elastics.cloud firmware/software components. You will be responsible to develop test plans, execute test cases and sign off firmware releases for the different software components. You will be responsible for both bring up and upkeep of our test infrastructure and software and hardware.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the test specifications for the Software/firmware subsystems brake system

• Design exhaustive test cases in collaboration with software, hardware and integration engineers to design solutions

• Design new tests, maneuvers and environments in both hardware and software

• Maintain a suite of regression tests to sign off on software functionality for each release of software

• Focus on test automation

• Work with the teams to maintain the lab at the right level of readiness

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BS in any relevant discipline

• Ability to develop test guidelines from specifications

• Programming language experience with Python, C and scripting

• Linux System administration and building and installing updated kernel needed

• Knowledge QEMU environment useful

• Experience developing tests with reusable code

• Understanding of revision control software (SVN, GIT, etc) is a plus

• Knowledge of CXL or PCIe is a plus plus
