Elastics.cloud Adds Key Leadership Talent to Their Team
SAN JOSE, CA (December 20, 2021) Elastics.cloud, a Smart Interconnect technology company focused on enabling efficient and performant composable architectures, today announced the expansion of their technical team. Don Sanders has joined as Director of ASIC and Mitch Wright has joined as Systems Architect.
Don Sanders has over 30 years of experience in ASIC development and operations. Early in his career, Don worked as an ASIC designer on the Origin server line at Silicon Graphics. Before joining Elastics.cloud, he was the Vice President of Hardware at Knowles, leading a worldwide team delivering high volume audio products to mobile customers. Don’s career has spanned ASIC design and management positions at Juniper, Cisco and Google. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
Mitch Wright has 25 years of experience in Computer System Design and Architecture. As a 23-year HPE Proliant Server Design Engineer, Mitch contributed to the architecture and design of the first 8-processor x86 system (Proliant 8000) and the first 4-processor Opteron server (DL585), blades (BL25/45P) and the Moonshot Platform. He was the technical lead and Advocate for the first GPU enabled Proliant servers, the first PCIe attached NAND Flash enabled Proliant servers, and FPGA accelerator enabled Proliant servers. Mitch has 13 patents issued, 1 pending, numerous publications and was a founding team member of the HPE AI Innovation Lab. Before beginning his 25 years in computing, he designed instrumentation in the field of High Energy Physics. Wright attended Texas Tech University and Amarillo College.
