Build and Release Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Build and Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the infrastructure needed for building and releasing all Elastics.cloud product(s).

  • Collaborate effectively with management/project managers to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/request.

  • Responsible for release of Elastics.cloud product and patches on time to customers (internal and external).

  • Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible.

  • Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, QA, and production environments.

  • Participate in ongoing production support and end user support.

  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.

  • Research and recommend new tools and emerging trends

  • Ability to triage customer issues will be a bonus

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of SDLC experience, with Build and Release ownership.

  • 10+ years of team management (local and international) experience.

  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate and drive solutions across the Software Organization, championing Agile methodologies.

  • Prior experience working with Program teams, SOC vendors, partners building applications using platform SDK.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills including presentation to senior leadership.

  • Experience deploying, configuring, managing and automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CircleCI/Concourse and others

  • Experience in building and deploying Linux Kernels a plus

  • Expertise with the scripting languages such as YAML, Python, Bash and Groovy, and source control and review systems such as Git, Repo and Gerrit.

  • Integration of source control, build tools, CI/CD, and bug/project tracking systems such as Jira

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple projects using a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies
